Where to find help

The six places NHD lists for guides, videos, the FAQ, and extra resources.

help faq guide playlist resources padlet

The 2026-2027 resources sheet points to six places when you are stuck.

  1. The NHD website. Step-by-step guides, videos, and the FAQ are at nhd.org/nhdwebcentral.
  2. The user guide. Read the full PDF in the next lesson, or open a short lesson in this library for one part of it.
  3. The companion playlist. NHDWebCentral Instructional Videos on the National History Day YouTube channel walks through the same topics as the guide.
  4. The full website walkthrough. A longer build-a-site video is in this category.
  5. The Padlet. NHD keeps an extra board of resources for students, teachers, and coordinators. Open it from the NHD WebCentral page.
  6. The FAQ. If these lessons do not answer the question, read the FAQ on the NHD WebCentral page. Tell NHD which questions are still missing.
